Britney Spears plans to bid New York City farewell and head on down to Miami, where she'll continue working on her new album over the weekend. She's making her first CD since 2003's In the Zone in studios in Miami, L.A. and N.Y.
At a Louis Vuitton party last night, producer and Snoop Dogg collaborator Pharrell Williams said he's helping Brit out. Asked about his upcoming projects, he said, "The stuff I'm about to do is amazing, but I can't talk about what I'm about to do... Okay, I'm going in with Britney."

Meanwhile, Britney Spears was spotted at Manhattan's Sony Music recording studio from about 9:30-11:00 Thursday night, then again from 12:50-5:30 Friday morning. Leaving the studio, she stopped by a local drug store, where she peeped some baby items and tried on sunglasses and a hat.
The pop star, who filed for divorce from Kevin Federline Tuesday, has been in NYC since last week. On Monday, she made a surprise visit to the Late Show with David Letterman. The following day, she took an ice skating spin around Rockefeller Center, dined out with friends -- and spent hours at the Sony Music Studio.
Spears, who is reportedly ready to offer Jayden James pictures for free so as not to split any more earnings with Federline, is clearly keeping busy in the wake of her impending divorce. But so is that assbag K-Fed. Lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents the K-Hole, says his client is holding up fine, despite the divorce filing catching him totally by surprise.
"I think Kevin's doing pretty well, considering this disastrous situation. But I believe something good will come out of this," Kaplan said.
So do we. That Britney Spears will no longer be married to Kevin Federline.
Fed-Ex will be on the road promoting his debut album, Playing with Fire, through November 24. Experts say he should sell approximately six copies of that crap between now and then. Despite a busy schedule, K-Fed is suing for custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston.
"Kevin's interested in having as much time as he's allowed with the kids, so he wants full legal and physical custody, with visitation rights for Britney. If there were no kids involved, it would be easy, but it's going to take time to iron out a lot of different issues," Kaplan said.
